Oleksii Kurtsev at the Ukrainian Catholic University

This journey was not about a diploma. It was about growth – both personal and organizational.

It brought:

– a deeper understanding of managing a charitable organization in times of war and constant uncertainty
– a systematic approach to strategic decision-making, fundraising, and sustainability
– a strong focus on people: the team, partners, and those the Alliance supports
– a rethinking of the leader’s role – as someone who builds systems and processes, rather than carrying everything alone

UCU is a place of strength, recovery, and recharging. A space where clarity, calm, and new energy to move forward emerge.

A special value of this journey is the people – new friends, like-minded peers, and partners from different sectors.

The experience and knowledge gained are already being integrated into the work of the Ukrainian Charitable Alliance – across our programs, management decisions, and long-term strategy.

We are grateful to the Ukrainian Catholic University for creating an environment that shapes not only knowledge, but people.
